Mrs. Peters passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Coosa Valley Baptist Medical Center in Sylacauga. She was born on July 16, 1935 in Alexander City to L. B. Baker and Daisy Mask Baker. She was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy for many years. She also loved to attend Family Worship Center with her daughters any chance she got. A devotee of the Game Show Network, and an avid fan of the Front Porch, Ella found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was a culinary artist in her own right, often found in her kitchen cooking or canning vegetables, always ready to share her creations.
Ella's love for word searches and Solitaire was only surpassed by the immense love she had for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her heart and her home were always full, as she embraced not only her own kin but also those who simply needed the love of a 'grandma'. Ella's legacy is one of unconditional love and generosity, her absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of many.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda (Jeremiah) Johnson and Regina Alford both of Hackneyville; daughter-in-law, Martha Peters of New Site; grandchildren, Tonya Kelley, Shana Peters, Freddie (Heather) Alford, Jacie (Trey) Mcleroy, Scotty (Brittany) Price, Nick (Carlie) Price, and Dixie Johnson; great-grandchildren, Payton Kelley, Ansley Peters, Trinity Shaw, Brynlee Alford, Brix Alford, Axyl Alford, Aylee Alford, Cal Mcleroy, A.J. Price, Marli Price, Sophie Price, Emma Anthony, Leigha Anthony, and Cooper Price; sister, Betty Baker; sisters-in-law, Glenda Peters and Sue Baker; son-in-law, Dan Alford; and many other nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Peters; son, Rodney Peters; sisters, Shirley Peters, Emma Nell Adams, and Mary Lou Ray; brothers, Fred Baker, Johnny Baker, James Wayne Baker, and Roy Jack Baker; and nephews, Jerrell Peters, Jr. and Niki Peters.
