Ms. Elizabeth LaVenia Neal's Obituary
Elizabeth LaVenia Neal, 107 of Woodstock, Georgia, went to heaven on January 4, 2022. Her dedication and devotion to God and family was an inspiration to all. She lived her life by Proverbs 3:6, “In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” There was a graveside service on Saturday, January 8, at 11:00 am at Hillview Memorial Park.
Ms. Neal was born on April 10, 1914, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Ashley Wilford Neal and Ozella Greer Neal. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Birmingham until she moved to Woodstock, Georgia. She was the former treasurer of the National Women’s Missionary Union serving over 20 years in this position.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Wilford Neal Sr., and his wife Pauline Day Neal, her nephew, Howard Wilford Neal Jr. and his wife, Patricia Nolen Neal. She is survived by her niece, Linda Neal Wood, four great nieces and nephews, and eight great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the WMU Foundation.
