Elizabeth B. Hill's Obituary
A visitation for Elizabeth B. Hill, 77, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held in January 2024 in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Liz was born on December 6, 1945, in Rankin County, Mississippi and passed away peacefully at her home in Alexander City, Alabama on September 9, 2023.
She is survived by her son, John Hill (Jill), grandchildren, Noah, Graden, Sophie Hill, Erica Spikard (Tim), and Jackson Hedges, two sisters, one brother, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claudine McNease Bounds and Marvin Bounds, and one brother.
As a mother, Liz was both loving and disciplined, putting her whole heart into nurturing her son. Her dedication to providing for him was unwavering and often worked multiple jobs in order to ensure his well-being. She was a perfectionist who made every effort to complete tasks flawlessly, and she never hesitated to take on a challenge head-on. She was a woman of strength and independence, and she consistently stood up for her beliefs.
Liz will be dearly missed and forever remembered for her spirit and resilience. Liz showed an unwavering loyalty to her friends and family. In addition to being a source of support and friendship, she also added joy to their lives with her wonderful sense of humor.
Liz often quoted her dear friend, Janelle McComb “Money cannot buy a friend nor pay for the loss of one.”
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, Flint Hill Methodist Church or Veritas Christian School, 2858 Flint Hill Road, Alexander City, Alabama 35010.
