Mrs. Edna Fincher's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Edna Fincher, 78, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Monday, August 8, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Bro. Terry Carter will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 7, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fincher passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at her residence. She was born on August 23, 1943, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Floyd Jackson McCain and Christine Jowers Garrett. Edna was a hardworking mother who always put her family first. When her mother became elderly, she was her primary caregiver and made sure all her needs were met. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking out, camping, and reading Harlequin Romance Books.
She is survived by her daughters, Crystal Colley (David), Vickie Green (Tommy); grandchildren, Sherri Carter (Terry), Jennifer Gulledge (Lance), Angie Colley (Matt), Amanda Baker (Brandon); great-grandchildren, Jacob Carter, Mackenzie Gulledge, Bryant Carter, Brilynn Carter, Wesley Carter (Mallory) and several special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Wayne Fincher; parents and brother, Jack McCain.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Perryville Baptist Church, 11171 Highway 22 East, Daviston, AL, 36256 or to Ray Baptist Church, 2519 Alabama Highway 22 West, Alexander City, AL, 35010.
