Mr. E. John Moody's Obituary
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. E. John Moody, 79, of Alexander City, Alabama will be Sunday, June 18, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Dr. Josh Sammons will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
John passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023 at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born on August 2, 1943 in Asheboro, North Carolina to Everett John Moody, Sr. and Edna Hall Moody. John loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He retired from Russell Corp. after over 30 years of service and served in the United States Coast Guard. John was an avid Auburn fan, enjoyed playing golf and working in the yard.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betsy Moody; son, Scott E. Moody (Melodye); daughter, Susan M. Taylor (Jason); grandchildren, Austin Taylor (fiancé Katelyn Thornton), Ashlee Roberts (Justin), Alec Taylor (Kelsie), Harrison Moody, Connor Moody, Faith Moody, and Addison Taylor; great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Roberts, Hanson Roberts, and Evelynn Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
