Doris Jeanette Monroe's Obituary
Graveside Service for Mrs. Doris Jeanette Monroe, 91, of Kellyton, will be Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 3:30 pm at the Socapatoy Cemetery. Rev. Steve Dyess will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Monroe passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Chapman Healthcare Center. She was born on January 1, 1933, in Ashland, Alabama to Dallas Amos Young and Eunice Merle Holmes Young.
She is survived by daughter-in-law, Pam Monroe Pitt (John); grandchildren, Kathryn M. (Bryan) Everett, Bethany M.(Travis) Owen, Graham (Meredith) Monroe; great-grandchildren, James Owen, Drake Owen, Ivy Everett, Wilder Everett, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Penn Monroe, son, Timothy William Monroe, daughter Susan H. Monroe.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kellyton Baptist Church, P.O Box 55, Kellyton, Alabama, 35089 or to Grimes Chapel Baptist Church, 25323 Coaling Road, Sylacauga, Alabama, 35150.
