Funeral Service for Ms. Doris Rose Smith Black, 92, of Daviston, will be Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Bro. Ray Dunn and Rev. Bennie Lee Yates will officiate. Burial will follow in the Read Obituary
So sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother. Miss Doris was a special person and filled a special place in Daviston Community for many years. I remember her as having a wonderful sense of humor and being a strong, caring woman.

To Michael and family of Aunt Doris,
It saddens my heart to think the Smith family has left us. All of my life I heard from my mother, (Aunt Ruby) that she helped raise Aunt Doris because she was almost grown when Aunt Doris was born. I cannot know how many times I was called "Doris" in my life. Of course, I knew Aunt Doris all of my life. She, Uncle Clifford, and all the boys were a part of our lives.
I spent a lot of time at her house, and she visited quite often. I spent the week of one summer when Michael was a baby. I just loved that baby! We also visited quite often after Uncle Clifford became ill. My mom was going to see that Aunt Doris and the family were fine. Aunt Doris experienced much joy and much sorrow in her life. She pressed on in spite of difficulty. I am sorry for your loss, and she will be missed.
