Mr. Donnie McDaniel's Obituary
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Donnie "Donnie Mac" McDaniel, 73, of Dadeville, will be Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Copper's Grill in Stillwaters. 797 Moonbrook Dr. Dadeville, AL 36853.
Mr. McDaniel passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022 at UAB. He was born on May 13, 1949 in Ashland, Alabama to Hollis McDaniel and Willie Maude Jordan McDaniel. He graduated from New Site High School in 1967. He received a basketball scholarship from Alex City Junior College and graduated from there in 1969. He was an entrepreneur in different industries until opening Lakeside Marina in 2003 with his brother, Buddy. He was a loving person and very well thought of by his friends and family. He loved his community, the lake and the marina. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his daughters, Brigitte McDaniel of Dadeville and Daisy Pike (Sawyer) of Alexander City; son, Clate McDaniel of Dadeville; grandchildren, Sandlin Pike, Alese Pike, and Sophie Pike; sisters, Vaneal Fanning of Birmingham and Nita Spraggins of Stockbridge, GA; brothers, Hugh McDaniel (Flo) of Birmingham and Buddy McDaniel (Louise) of Birmingham.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
