Donna McGuire Hughes' Obituary
Graveside Memorial Service for Ms. Donna McGuire Hughes, 58, of Alexander City, Alabama will be Monday, February 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Roger Green will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Donna passed away peacefully on February 21, 2024, in Dadeville, Alabama. Born on March 5, 1965, in Alexander City, Alabama, Donna spent her life imbued with the warmth and charm of the South, touching the lives of all who knew her with her gentle presence.
Donna was a proud graduate of Hackneyville High School and a dedicated member of the Alexander City community. She committed over three decades of loyal service as a secretary for McGuire's Auto Sales and brought her meticulous care and warmth to her role as a property manager for Gateway Management.
Known for her loving and selfless nature, Donna cherished the simple pleasures in life. She adored animals, especially her grand doggies, Bailey and Cooper, and found joy in the tranquility of the color blue. Donna was an enthusiast of bargain and thrift store shopping and seized every opportunity to find treasures for those she loved. Family and friends were the epicenter of her life, and her presence was a source of joy and comfort.
Donna's son, Alan Ray, and his wife, Mary Catherine, of Crestview, Florida; along with her brother, Richard McGuire, and his wife, Sharon, of Alexander City, Alabama; and her uncle and aunt, Donald and Linda McGuire, also of Alexander City, Alabama survive her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charlie Lano McGuire and Betty Jean Mason McGuire.
Ms. Donna McGuire Hughes leaves behind a legacy of thoughtfulness and love; a testament to a life lived with generosity and devotion to the happiness of others. Her memory will be cherished and held dear in the hearts of her family and the community she served so faithfully.
