Mr. Donald Gibbs Veazey's Obituary
Mr. Donald Gibbs Veazey, 86, of Alexander City, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026. He was born on September 20, 1939 to John Lumas Veazey and Mary Lillian Grimsley Veazey. Donald had a wonderful sense of humor. He was well known as someone who lived his life to the fullest, never meeting a stranger. Donald was an avid Alabama Football fan, never missing an opportunity to cheer on his Crimson Tide. He really enjoyed spending time working at his Marina on Lake Martin, a place he loved dearly. Donald also enjoyed traveling with his family all over the country. He loved his family, especially when he got to spend time with his grandson.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan Veazey (Jeremey) Kelly of Alexander City; grandson, Harrison Walker (Kaitlynn Saelens) Kelly of Alexander City; and his sweet dog, Hazel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara Ann Veazey; and brother, Louis Veazey.
