Mr. Donald Hoyt Hand's Obituary
Funeral service for Mr. Donald Hoyt Hand, 75, of New Site, will be Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Harold Cummings and Rev. Paul Vick will officiate. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. \r\n\r\nMr. Hand passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012 at his residence. He was born on August 27, 1936 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Leon Thomas Hand and Annis Frances Cook Hand. Mr. Hoyt was a lifelong resident of New Site. He was a hard worker and enjoyed running heavy equipment and moving dirt. He retired from Tallapoosa County with 35 years of service. He also enjoyed fishing and cutting grass. He was a member of New Site United Methodist Church. \r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife of 51 years, Peggy Joyce McKelvey Hand of New Site; sons, Donald Ray Hand (Cindy) and Jon Hoyt Hand (Tonya), all of New Site; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and sister, Shirley Wyper (Si) of Mobile.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents.\r\n
