Mrs. Diane Railey's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Diane Railey, 75, of Goodwater, will be Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Cowhick will officiate. Burial will follow in the Socapatoy Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Railey passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at East Alabama Medical Center. She was born on June 28, 1948 in Keno, AL to Hollon Graham and Bulah McCain Graham. She was a dedicated member of Alex City Methodist Church. Diane was an outstanding cook. She also enjoyed canning vegetables and tending to her flowers. Diane was immensely skilled at embroidery and quilting. She made quilts for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Diane loved to spend time with her family, sitting out on the front porch and watching it rain.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, James David Railey of Goodwater; sons, Ross Railey (Joseph) of Bay Minette and Robb Railey (Kaci) of Opelika; daughter, Lona Childers (Edward) of Auburn; grandchildren, Hannah Rowe (Shea) of Hampton, VA, Sarah Railey of Gainsville, FL, Olivia Railey of Fultondale, Anna Kate Railey, David Railey, both of Opelika, Eleanor Childers, and Lucinda Childers, both of Auburn; great-grandchildren, Bohannon Rowe and Paisley Rowe both of Hampton, VA; sisters, Faye Baird (Gene) of Goodwater and Jan Forbus (Fred) of Kellyton; and brother, Bruce Graham (Linda) of Kellyton.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
