Mr. Dennis Michael McGee's Obituary
Dennis Michael McGee passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Brookwood Medical Center. Born on April 1, 1945 in Ohio, he was the son of Mr. Virgil McGee and Mrs. Bette Robinson McGee. He was an intelligent man with technical skills that led him to management positions within computer firms and companies. On July 11, 1970, Dennis married his best friend, Janet Curran McGee, and together they created a life filled with memories, love, and adventure.
No place was too far as long as they were going together. In 2000, their journey led them to settling by Lake Martin where they could enjoy the serenity of the lake. Dennis loved the water-from riding on the boat to driving to Gulf Shores for the winter. He was a wonderful husband, father, and "Tap Paw." Dennis took every opportunity to let his family know how much they meant to him. Even with everything going on the day that he passed, he still made sure to tell Jan that she was "the love of his life."
Dennis is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janet McGee; grandson, Brandon McGee, numerous close friends that he adored.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brent E. McGee; parents, Virgil & Bette McGee; and brother, Douglas McGee.
