Dean Allen's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Dean C. Allen, 75, of Eclectic, will be Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Pastor Daren Davis and Pastor Timothy Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rock Springs Cemetery in Goodwater. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Allen passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Jackson Hospital. She was born on June 14, 1949 in Eclectic, Alabama to Bro. Charles Edward Collier and Thelma Elsie Culver Collier. She was a devoted member of the Living Word Church, where she served as treasurer for many years. Her voice resonated through the pews as she sang southern gospel music with passion. She loved cooking for her family and friends. In her quiet time, she enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitching, reading Amish books and solving Sudoku puzzles.
She will be remembered as a skilled tax preparer who generously assisted friends and family, reflecting her innate inclination to help others. Mrs. Allen's legacy of love and selflessness endures in the hearts of those she touched. Her joy for life was evident in the laughter shared on vacations with loved ones, a testament to a life rich in relationships and care.
She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Wynn, Tammy Bartlett, both of Alexander City, and Patricia Warren of Eclectic; grandchildren, Ethan Theriault and Kaleb Johnson of Eclectic; sister, Regina (Ron) Davis of Wetumpka; and brother, Charles (Opal) Collier of Eclectic.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bro. Billy P. Allen; and brother, Benny Collier.
