Funeral Service for Mr. David "Baby Dave" Ryals, 68, of Goodwater, will be Monday, December 15, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmial Harrison will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 15, 2025 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Ryals passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on November 15, 1957, David spent his life cultivating a legacy of kindness and warmth that touched the hearts of all who knew him.
David's early years were marked by a love for the great outdoors, a passion that naturally led him to a fulfilling career as a logger. His colleagues remember him as a man who worked hard and enjoyed the freedom of being outdoors.
Beyond his professional life, David was a man who loved people; the trait that truly defined him. He never met a stranger. His giving nature was evident in the way he lived his life, always ready to lend a hand or share a kind word.
David's mild-mannered demeanor belied a strong and resilient character, one that allowed him to face life's challenges with grace and courage. His friends and family will remember his laughter, his comforting presence, and the unwavering support he provided to those around him.
As we say goodbye to David Ryals, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey marked by compassion, friendship, and love. He is survived by his brother, Bobby (Susan) Ryals of Sylacauga; sister, Patricia (Michael) Cowart of Southside; close friend, Kathy Harrison of Goodwater; his baby girl, Pinkie; nieces, Amy (Rick) Jones and Abby Jones; and nephews, Sgt. Jordan Cowart, Alan Ryals, Robert Ryals, Mitch Jones and Rickey Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Vergie Ryals; and sister, Bonnie Ryals.
