Mr. David Wayne Davis' Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. David Wayne Davis, 65, of Jackson’s Gap, Alabama, will be Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Jackson's Gap Baptist Church. He will lie instate at the Church for one hour prior to the service. Rev. Charlie Horton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Jackson's Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Davis passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at his residence. He was born on May 22, 1954 in Alexander City, Alabama to William Clyde Davis and Frances Patterson Davis. He was an active member of Jackson's Gap Baptist Church. He worked for many years with his family at Clyde Davis Body Shop and later owned L& D Transportation in Jackson’s Gap. David was a quiet man but never met a stranger and worked all of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Davis of Jacksons Gap; brothers, Timothy Clyde Davis (Ellan), Marcus Dane Davis (Ramona), and Brian Andrew Davis (Yvonne) all of Jackson’s Gap, AL; sister-in-law, Anne Bradford of Jacksons Gap; nephews, William Timothy Davis (Shara), Ricky Robertson (Kristy), Jaymes Davis (Kayla), and Jeremy Robertson (Kayla); nieces, Fran Coker (Shaun), Candy Smith (Bobby), Kaylan Fuller (Scott), Shaina Scott (Tyler), Abigail McCook (Donald), and Katherine Davis; host of great nieces and nephews; aunt, Barbara Ann Sherrer of Hackneyville; and special friend, Wayne Yarbrough (Angie)
He was preceded in death by his parents.
