Mr. David Wayne Barnes' Obituary
Memorial service will be held Monday, January 27, 2025, at 3 pm at the Good News Baptist Church in Jackson's Gap. Rev. Michael Booker will officiate the memorial service.
Mr. Barnes passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Russell Medical Center. He was born on January 24, 1943 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to John Barnes and Kathleen Ingle Barnes. He was an active member of the Good News Baptist Church and the Rockford Branch of Masons. Mr. Barnes was avid fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers.
He is survived by his wife, Nan Barnes of Alexander City and a host of family and friends. Mr. Barnes also leaves behind a loving church family of the Good News Baptist Church in Jackson's Gap.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Barnes and mother, Kathleen Barnes.
