David T. Argo, passed away September 9, 2024 in Birmingham, Alabama. David was a lifelong native of Alexander City and a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John I. Argo, Sr. and Nellie Argo, and his son, Madison Scott Argo. He is survived by daughters Audra Argo Kirkpatrick (Matt) currently of Ramstein Air Base, Germany and Amanda Argo Boone (Wade) of Alexander City, AL; grandchildren Nolan Johnson, Carlee Johnson, and Lee Johnson of Alexander City, AL; granddaughter Maggie Kirkpatrick of Ramstein Air Base, Germany; great-granddaughter Madison Culp of Alexander City; brothers John I. Argo, Jr. (Pat), and Richard Argo.
David was a devoted father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family and his friends. He was endlessly proud of his children, frequently sharing updates with all he met. His friends loved having their "gentle giant" around and knew that he would go to any length to make sure everyone was taken care of. He enjoyed visits with his brother Johnny every Sunday to catch up and watch the race.
David was the epitome of hard work and service to others. He spent his professional life working at Russell Corp, Robinson Iron, his own heating and air conditioning business, and most recently as a security guard at the Tallapoosa County Courthouse. He worked long hours ensuring anyone in the Alex City area who needed it had air conditioning or heat, no matter the day or time. David loved tinkering, building, fixing things, and enjoying his home and property.
David will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
