This is the only video I could find of my mom and Aunt Cindy singing together but some of my favorite memories are from thanksgiving time or just when we happened to be together at Memom’s and Memom would be practicing piano for church or just playing to play. Then Aunt Cindy and my mom would go in and the three of them would sing hymns together in the front room. Just remembering the sound as it would echo through the house, how calm and peaceful it always was. Then once I was confident enough going in to sing with them. It’s a sound, a feeling, and a memory I won’t ever forget.
These videos were taken around the time I had surgery on my knee. I was finally able to take a walk so. Aunt Cindy, my mom, my sister, and I decided to take a walk down to the park in Memom’s neighborhood. I’ll always remember this because it was just a time to talk and spend time together, something we rarely got to do together. Catherine K
I remember the time Cindy got stuck in a tree with no limbs. Mother was big and pregnant with Brian at the time so there wasn’t any way she could get her down. Daddy was at work and Mom thought she was going to have to call the fire department! She called Daddy anyway and came home with a ladder. He climbed up and got her down. She told me later she got scared because she thought she was going to have to stay in the tree forever!
