Mrs. Clara "Chat" Mae Richardson's Obituary
Funeral Service for Clara "Chat" Mae Richardson, 89, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Monday, January 2, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Donnie Pritchard and Randy Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 2, 2023 from 12 noon pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs.Richardson passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Chapman Healthcare Center. She was born on March 26, 1933 in New Site, Alabama to Joseph Loyd East and Lille Mae Tucker East. She was an active member of New Site United Methodist Church. Mrs. Chat was an avid Auburn fan and pulled for anyone who played Alabama. She was also a champion Rook player and always had to win. She was known for her tea cakes and peanut brittle. She enjoyed the outdoors, working in the yard, and loved her cats. Mrs. Chat was also a faithful member of the Hardee's Breakfast Club.
She is survived by her sons, Randy Voss (Nan) and Lynn Voss (Wendy) both of Alexander City;grandchild, Jamie Moore; great-grandchildren, Maria Moore and Austin Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Everett Richardson; her parents; and sisters, Louise E. Truett, and Helen Dixon.
The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions to the New Site Senior Center 12791 Hwy 22 East, New Site, AL 36256.
