Graveside Service for Mrs. Christine Bice McCrary, 89, of Leeds, will be Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Union Motley Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. John Roberts will officiate.
Mrs. McCrary passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at her residence. She was born on February 7, 1931 in Daviston, Alabama to Samuel Rufus Bice and Octavia Nix Bice. She was a member of Central Park Baptist Church. Christine was a true “Southern Belle,” always well dressed, prim and proper. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Even though she was the primary care giver for her oldest son, she worked in the jewelry industry for many years and took great pride in caring for her customers as well.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Robbye) McCrary; daughter, Joyce (Albert) Barfield; grandchildren, Brandon (Brandye) McCrary, Joshua McCrary, Miranda (Jeremy) Mitchell, Bonnie (Paul) Branyon, Curtis Barfield, Amy (Keith) Roberts; ten great-grandchildren and special nephew, Jerry Bice.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, James Robert McCrary Sr.; Son, James Robert McCrary Jr.; parents; grandson, Courtney Robertson and brothers, Clarence and Reginald Bice.
All visitations and services will be held in compliance with the mandated rules from Alabama Dept of Public Health.
