Mrs. Charlotte Inez Scroggins' Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Charlotte Inez Stewart Scroggins, 92, of Alexander City, will be Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 12:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Pastor Tim Harris will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Scroggins passed away on July 12, 2025, at Chapman’s Nursing Home. She was born in Goodwater, Alabama to Hughlett Linton Stewart and Myrtle Mae Mason Stewart on February 19, 1933. She was a 1951 graduate of Benjamin Russell High School. She was also a faithful member of Comer Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Jeffrey Vernon Scroggins (Cindy) of Jackson’s Gap and Jennifer Scroggins Spraggins (Tommy) of Alexander City; four grandchildren: Elizabeth Scroggins Craig (Alex) of Huntsville, Robert Scroggins of Alexander City, Lauren Spraggins Jennette (Matt) of Homewood, and Jill Spraggins Hill (Ryan) of Auburn ; great grandsons: Hudson Hill and Haynes Craig; great granddaughters: Hannah Hill, Hollis Hill, Julia Jennette and Janie Jennette; sister-in-law: Eleanor Still; step granddaughter: Kaci Patterson Letts (Andrew) and step great grandchildren: Parker Ann Gaston, Caroline Letts, Drew Letts and Ellis Jennette.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Vernon “Corky” Scroggins; one brother: Hughlett Stewart; five sisters: Falbie Bussey, Clara Whitehead, Sara Lindsey , Margaret Gertrude Sanford, Patricia Talton, and step granddaughter Leslie Patterson Gaston.
The family will receive flowers or donations may be made to the Comer Memorial Baptist Church, 341 E. Church Street, Alexander City, Alabama, 35010 or to one’s favorite charity.
