Mrs. Charlie Evelyn Dark's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Charlie Evelyn Dark, 90, of Kellyton, Alabama, will be Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Kellyton United Methodist Church. Rev. Mike Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kellyton Memory Garden. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm and on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Ms. Dark passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Russell Medical. She was born on April 7, 1927 in Central, Alabama to Charlie Winfield Britton and Ethel Stough Britton. She was an active member of the Kellyton United Methodist Church, sang in the choir and often provided special music. She loved the outdoors and working in the yard. Mrs. Dark loved her family dearly and always had a great sense of humor.
She is survived by her sons, Robert P. Dark, Jr. (Patricia) of Oxford, Tim Dark (Kathy) of Alexander City, and Chris Dark (Denise) of Opelika; grandchildren, Buddy Dark, Sean Dark (Denise), Jarrod Dark, Zach Dark (Lauren), Juliana Lynn (Travis), Blake Patterson, and Janet Richey (Chad); great-grandchildren, Kelsey Dark, Erin Dark, Ashley Dark, Charlie Dark, Kadyn Dark, Jack Richey, Robert Richey, Guy Richey, and Sam Dark; brother-in-law, John Neighbors of Alexander City; several nieces and nephews, including Diane Denham and Nancy Holman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Dark, Sr.; grandchild, Jennifer Dark; her parents; sisters, Addis Stoddard, Lurlene Mask, Edith Holman, and Juanita Neighbors; brothers, Rev. Howell Britton, Claude Britton, and Rev. Stanley "Jet" Britton.
The family requests no flowers. Memorial contributions be made to Kellyton United Methodist Church, Church Street and County Road 50 Kellyton, AL 35089 or to the Kellyton Memorial Gardens.
