“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud., It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”
He loved God with his whole heart. Next to God, Charles’s devotion lay with his family. He stood by, provided for, sacrificed all that he had for his family.
He enjoyed his life spent with Charlie, his son. Charles was a powerful preacher of the Word of God. He was anointed by the Spirit and many people have come to know the Lord through his preaching. Many people received healing through his prayers to God on their behalf.
He never spoke a cruel word to anyone. Humility and kindness were his distinctive characteristics. Charles will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Mildred Lewis Reaves; sons, Charlie Reaves, Sidney Walker (Crystal); sisters, Helen Walton (Ken), Mary Ann Nolen (Earl); grandchildren, Courtney Baker, Emma Walker, Hannah Maddox, Jacob Maddox (Sarah); son-in-law, Gene Baker; nephews, James Earl Nolen Jr., Jeffrey Walton (Florencia) and niece, Emily W.
