Mr. Charles W. Pate Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Charles W. Pate, Jr., 71, of Dadeville, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital. He was born on November 22, 1953 in Beaumont, Texas to Charles W. Pate, Sr. and Juanita Jones Pate. A beacon of kindness and generosity, Charles lived a life marked by his unparalleled selflessness and an ever-curious spirit that made him endlessly interesting to all who knew him.
A man with an immense capacity for love, Charles wove a tapestry of warmth through his roles as a devoted husband, an inspiring father, and a cherished brother. His sociable nature meant he saw friends in everyone he met, and his presence was a source of comfort and joy in countless lives.
His footprints in the sand will be deeply missed, as his love for the beach reflected the expanse of his open heart. Charles's legacy is one of perpetual kindness, characterized by always putting others first-a true embodiment of a life extraordinarily well-lived.
He is survived by his wife, Ginger Pate of Dadeville; son, Matthew Pate of Dadeville; sister, Peggy Meredith of Lumberton, TX; brother, Paul (Dee) Pate of Dallas, TX; and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Becky Pate.
The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
