Mr. Charles Rayborn Lewis' Obituary
Funeral Service for Charles Rayborn Lewis, 81, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Friday, September 16, 2022, at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Chase Clower will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Lewis passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Russell Medical. He was born on January 16, 1941, in New Site, Alabama to Rueben Lewis and Gladys Claybrook Lewis. He was a member of Hillabee Baptist Church. Charles met the love of his life while taking his mother to the beauty shop and they have been together for the last 63 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and was the backbone of his family. Charles never met a stranger and would give the shirt off of his back to help others. He enjoyed growing African Violets and Orchids and won many ribbons for those beautiful plants.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Lewis; daughter, Tonya Lewis Magouyrk (Gary); grandchildren, Chasity Magouyrk, Brandon Magouyrk (Skylar), Summer Magouyrk Parker (Austin); great-grandchildren, Braxton Magouyrk, Ava Price, Connor Magouyrk, Madolyn Parker, Lincoln Parker; sister, Joyce Arsenault; brother-in-law, Tim Anthony (Ginie); sister-in-law, Linda Harry (Robert) and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jon M. Lewis, parents and brothers, James, and Sidney Lewis.
