Charles Raymond Butler Sr.'s Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Charles Raymond Butler Sr., 80, of New Site, will be Monday, May 6, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Dr. Josh Sammons will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem-New Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Butler passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024 at his residence. He was born on August 25, 1943 in Lauderdale County and raised by Fred Foreman and Martha Jane Gist Foreman. He loved to go fishing. Charles also loved his dogs. He enjoyed getting out in his yard and working. Charles was a skilled welder and fabricator. He always got joy out of spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie Ruth Butler of New Site; sons, Charles Raymond Butler, Jr. (Katrina), Russell H. Butler (Michelle) both of New Site, and Tommy R. Butler (Bethany) of Gulfport, MS; grandchildren, Amber Walker (Brian), Ben Butler (Heather), Kendra Turner (Jesse), Rusty Butler (Toni), Stephanie Butler, Caleb Montgomery, Logan Butler (Ashlee), and Evelyn Butler; great-grandchildren, Gunnar Walker, Jet Turner, Bryson Butler, Kevin Butler, Remy Butler, Braelyn Walker, Izaiah Butler, Riley Butler, Ledger Turner, Lillie Ann Butler, Leighton Butler, and Sofi Butler; and sisters, Martha Taylor of Gulf Shores and Brenda Moore of Foley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Roy Lee Butler and Joe Butler.
