Mrs. Carolyn Whitley's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Carolyn Whitley, 83, of Goodwater, Alabama, will be Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Dr. Bill Ethridge will officiate. Burial will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Whitley passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at her residence. She was born on April 13, 1938, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Albert Blankenship and Luelle Joiner Blankenship. She was a member of Goodwater Methodist Church. Carolyn was a loving, selfless lady who enjoyed doing for her family and others. She was a perfectionist in everything she did and would not settle for anything less. Her hobbies included crafting, working in her garden and cooking wonderful meals for her family.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Wallace O’Neal Whitley; children, Patrick Whitley (Charlotte), Lou Ann Turner (Tony), Linda Bailey (Jeff), Phillip Whitley (Lorraine); grandchildren, Brandon Turner (Beth), Alex Turner (Joni), Meagan Whitley (Freda), Brittany Wendling (Adam), Ben Driver, April Turner, Ben Whitley (Mallory), Elizabeth Whitley, Whitley Bailey; great-grandchildren, Brooks Turner, Sam Turner, Coleson Wendling, Bailey Wendling and Emily Turner
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Smyrna Cemetery Fund C/O William J. Futral, 582 Coosa County Road 122, Goodwater, AL, 35072.
