Carolyn's commitment to her career was evident through her 37 years of dedicated service at the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT), from which she retired.

Carolyn's interests reflected her zest for life and her love for simple pleasures. She was an avid reader of Danielle Steele novels, and she found joy in browsing through thrift and bookstores, always on the lookout for a hidden gem. Yard sales were a special treat for her, as she loved the thrill of discovering unique finds. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye, and she relished every opportunity to spend time with them, creating lasting memories.
Moreover, Carolyn enjoyed quality moments with her husband and family, whether it was listening to country music, watching game shows, or rooting for the Auburn Tigers. Her passion for life was evident in her everyday activities and the way she embraced every experience with enthusiasm.
Carolyn's legacy will forever be cherished and remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her. She was preceded in death by her best friend, Peggy Pritchard, and her brother, Fredrick A. Hill. Their memories, along with Carolyn's, will continue to live on in the hearts of many.
