Ms Caroline Sue McMichael Williams' Obituary
Funeral Service for Ms. Caroline Sue McMichael Williams, 81, of Dadeville, Alabama, will be Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Terry Herron will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Ms. Williams, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2023, in Dadeville, AL. Born on August 19, 1942, in Birmingham, AL, she was a beacon of light and love for her family.
Caroline was a proud graduate of Dadeville High School, Class of 1961. Known for her beautiful blue eyes and generous smile, she touched the lives of many with her selflessness and gentle spirit. Her love for her family knew no bounds, especially when it came to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
She is survived by her daughters Cindy Patterson Scroggins (Jeffrey) of Jackson's Gap, and Rhonda Jaye Atkinson (Carey) of Dadeville. Her legacy also lives on in her cherished grandchildren Jerry Thornton (Brittany), Kaci Patterson Letts (Andrew), Allison Jaye Ladson (Bryant), Elizabeth Scroggins Craig (Alex), Robert Jeffrey Scroggins, Jonathan Atkinson, Andrew Atkinson (Nichole), Sydney Atkinson Miller (Chris), and Riley Atkinson. Her great-grandchildren Elijah Thornton, Caden Thornton, Parker Ann Gaston, Caroline Letts, Drew Letts, Haynes Craig, and Elliot Atkinson also survive her. In addition, she is remembered by a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence S. McMichael and Massie O'Nell McMichael, her siblings Trudy McGrady, Larry McMichael, and Franklin McMichael, her beloved grandchild Leslie Ann Patterson Gaston, and her son-in-law, Ricky Lynn Patterson.
Throughout her life, Caroline exemplified the qualities of generosity, selflessness, and gentleness. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and offered her love and support to anyone in need. Her grace and strength were an inspiration to all who knew her.
The loss of Caroline is deeply felt by her family, friends, and the community. Her memory will forever be cherished, her life celebrated, and her legacy honored. May her soul rest in peace, and may her spirit continue to inspire and guide us.
