Mrs. Carmen Edwina Salter Culver's Obituary
Mrs. Carmen Edwina Salter Culver, known lovingly to family and friends as Edwina, passed away on April 20, 2026, at the age of 64.
Born on March 16, 1962 to Clinton Edwin Salter and Melba Louise Whitehead Salter, Edwina lived a life marked by quiet strength, steady devotion, and a warm spirit that touched those around her. She was a woman who valued hard work, simple joys, and the comfort of meaningful connections. Throughout her life, she carried herself with grace and kindness, and she will be remembered for the gentle way she moved through the world and the lasting impression she left on others.
Edwina devoted many years of her life to her work at Russell Mills, where she was respected for her dedication and dependable nature. She took pride in doing her job well and in being a steady presence among her coworkers. Her strong work ethic and loyal character reflected the values she held throughout her life. Those who worked alongside her will remember her as someone who could be counted on and who contributed faithfully year after year.
Outside of work, Edwina found joy in creative pursuits that allowed her to express her patience and care. She enjoyed crocheting and cross-stitching, and she took pleasure in the beauty of creating something by hand. These hobbies brought her comfort and satisfaction, and they were a reflection of her thoughtful and detail-oriented nature. The items she made were not only crafted with skill, but also with love and intention.
Edwina also cherished the opportunity to travel, especially when she could share those experiences with her husband, Glen. She enjoyed going on bus tours with him, and together they made memories that brought them happiness and companionship. These trips offered her a chance to see new places, enjoy the journey, and appreciate time spent with the person she loved. Her marriage and shared adventures were an important part of her life, and they brought her great joy.
She will be remembered for her kind heart, her steady presence, and the many ways she enriched the lives of those who knew her. Edwina’s life was one of dedication, creativity, and love. Her memory will remain a source of comfort to those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
