Funeral Service for Ms. Brenda Jones Perry, 68, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 5:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Donald DeLee will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Brenda Jones Perry, a beacon of love and gentleness, passed away surrounded by the warmth of her family, leaving behind a legacy of optimism and care that deeply touched all who knew her. Born to the late James Sanford Jones and Merlene McGill Jones.
Brenda's educational pursuits led her to earn  an associate's degree in accounting, followed by a cosmetology degree showcasing her versatility and commitment to personal growth.
She is survived by her loving son, Chris A. McElwain and Stephanie Laug of Cleveland, TN, and her devoted daughter, Gwendolyn Arnold and her husband Mike of Alexander City, AL. Brenda's joy was multiplied through her grandchildren, Brooke Hoover, Taylor York and her husband Jacob, Austin McElwain, Grace Laug, Trey Arnold, and Soloman Arnold, along with her cherished great-grandchildren, Grayson, Max, Demi, Grant, and Grady York.
Brenda's sisters, Phyllis Roncadori with her husband Frank, Sandra Jones, and Mary Beth Reyes with her husband Alex, also survive her, continuing the close-knit bond of a family that Brenda held dear throughout her life. She was predeceased by her sisters, Janice Rhodes, and Teressa Ashby, who welcomed her with open arms into eternal peace.
Those who knew Brenda will remember her as a thoughtful neighbor and friend, often found socializing and grilling with her community. Her love for cross-stitching and ceramics was evident in her meticulous and beautiful creations, which she shared generously with friends and family.
Above all, Brenda will be remembered for her loving nature, her gentle spirit, and her unwavering optimism. She faced life's challenges with grace and always found a way to see the light in even the darkest of times. Her ability to uplift others was unparalleled, and her presence was a comfort to those fortunate enough to know her.
Brenda's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the strength of family bonds. As her loved ones reflect on her cherished memory, they take solace in the knowledge that her legacy of love and joy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
In her passing, Brenda leaves behind a world that she made brighter with her smile, her kindness, and her unwavering positivity. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered as a guiding light in the lives of her family and friends. Brenda Jones Perry's memory will be held in the hearts of those she loved for eternity. She is now with Jesus her savior everlasting.
In honor of Brenda's memory the family requests that attendees please wear pink or lavender/purple to celebrate her life.
The family will accept green plants or freshly cut flowers.
