Ms. Brenda Wall Marshall, 79, of Goodwater, Alabama passed away on May 10, 2026, at the age of 79 at Brown Nursing Home. Born on October 7, 1946, to Alex Lafayette Wall and Christine Tucker Wall Yates, she lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep affection, and a steadfast love for the people and place she called home.
Brenda was a woman who found joy in the simple and meaningful parts of life. She loved tending to her home and took great pride in creating a warm and welcoming space. Her care and attention were reflected in the comfort she provided to those around her, and her home stood as a true expression of her loving spirit. She also cherished the time she spent with her grandmother, holding those moments close to her heart throughout her life.
A devoted member of the Kellyton community, Brenda adored the town she called home and carried a deep sense of pride in living there. She valued the relationships she built and the familiar faces that surrounded her through the years. Her presence in the community was appreciated by many, and she will be remembered with fondness by those who knew her.
Brenda was also a loving sister to her five siblings, and her family meant very much to her. She shared her life with them in a way that reflected loyalty, kindness, and enduring care. She is survived by her sisters, Gail Wall (Stick) McDaniel of Alexander City and Nancy Wall Phillips of Kellyton; brothers, James Sidney Yates of Wadley and Billy Ray (Rita) Wall of Alexander City; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Patricia Wall Ballow, Anita Yates Henderson, and Rita Yates Payne.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
