Mr. Bobby Joe Brewer's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Bobby Joe Brewer, 78, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Jackson's Gap Baptist Church. Rev. Charlie Horton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Jackson's Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Jackson's Gap Baptist Church.
Mr. Brewer passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Russell Medical. He was born on October 31, 1944 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Jessie Wilbur Brewer and Lola Mae Lightsey Brewer. He was an active member of Jackson's Gap Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Bobby was a Godly man who loved his family dearly. He served in the United States Air Force as a SSGT during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Alexander City Veteran’s Honor Guard. His hobbies included camping with his family and friends, fishing and cheering on his beloved Auburn Tigers.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wylone Davis Brewer; sons, Jeffrey David Brewer (Jeanna), Michael Gregory Brewer (Jennifer); grandchildren, Steven Tyler Brewer (Jessy), Spencer Austin Brewer (Alex), Justin Johns, Joy Johns, Cooper Wyatt Brewer, John Parker Brewer; great-grandchildren, Julia Belle Walters, Karsyn Brewer, Emersyn Brewer; sister, Shirley Mae Penton and numerous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Jackson’s Gap Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1, Jackson’s Gap, 36861 or to the Jackson’s Gap Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 1, Jackson’s Gap, 36861.
