Funeral Service for Mr. Billy Hudson, 79, of Jacksons Gap, will be Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. Pastor Travis Bussey will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Billy passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham. He was born on April 26, 1943 to William Franklin Hudson and Louise Daubrey Haynes Hudson. Billy was known, first and foremost, as loving the Lord. He was also known for being a sweet, humorous, kind, quirky, and very gentle person. He always put others first, loved to make people happy, and was an avid University of Alabama fan. In his spare time, he was an antique dealer who loved to buy, sell, and refurbish. Billy had a passion for living life to the fullest and making sure others were taken care of. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Hudson; daughters, Shelia Diann (William) Conway, Billie Jo (Neal) Wright, Sara DAubree (Chris) Maddox, Ashley Renee (Cody) McKim; sons, Steven Lawrence Hudson, Tommy Lee Hudson; grandchildren, Kevin Michael (Amanda) Bolt, Stacy Lyn (Chris) Warren, David Thomas (Amanda) Hudson, Branden Anthony Hudson, Brittney Joann Wright, Cameron Neal Wright, Kuria Hudson; Sisters, Betty Jean Jarry, Peggy Baird, and 6 Great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Franklin and Louise Hudson; son, Phillip Barry Hudson; sisters, Willie Brooks, Minnie Lee Hudson; brothers, Paul Hudson, Cecil Hudson, Leonard Hudson.
