Billy Cornelius Hill's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mr. Billy Hill, 79, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Tim Harris will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park at 3:30 pm. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Billy Hill passed away on Sunday April 7th at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. He was born on October 11, 1944 to Andrew and Eva Hill, in Hattiesburg, MS. He grew up in the Morriston community of Petal MS and moved to Alexander City in 1975. He worked for Russell Athletic for over 40 years. He was an active member of Comer Memorial Baptist Church. He served as Giden and was active within his church and community. He enjoyed fishing with his brothers, son, and great granddaughter, visiting with friends. He loved his family and took great pride in his children and grandchildren. If you stopped by, he would offer to fry up a catfish dinner for you anytime. He and his daughter loved to facetime and walk on their treadmills together.
He is survived by his son, Stacey Hill (Terri) of Memphis, TN; daughter, Brenda Smith (Rick) of Denver, NC; son, Tim Davis; daughter-in-law, Ronda Davis of Baxley, GA; seven grandchildren, Morgan Bryant, Maci Hill, Raegan Smith Cashion, Morgan Smith, Dean Davis, Shan Davis Altman, Charlie Davis; 16 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Pat Griffith, Debbie Philamee, Linda Carter (Glen), and Donna Vaughn (Ken); sister-in-law, Deane Daniel; brothers, Chris Hill, Charles Everett (Elizabeth) and Jerry Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Earlean Hill; son, Eddie Davis; daughter, Connie Sue Davis; sister, Betty Jean Street; brother, Andy Hill; great-great grandchildren, Luke Davis and Mary Katherine Cashion; and great-great-great granddaughter, Star Davis.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Comer Memorial Baptist Church.
