Mrs. Betty Rob Norred's Obituary
Graveside Service for Mrs. Betty Rob Norred, 85, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 3:00 pm at the Hillview Memorial Park. Bro. Donnie Pritchard will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Norred passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Chapman Healthcare Center. She was born on December 27, 1936 in Talladega, Alabama to Wesley "Bud" A. Waites and Mabel Sims Waites. Betty loved her family dearly. She was a member of Hillabee Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed flowers, feeding and watching birds, going to feed the cows, especially her favorite cow, Belle with her husband, Herbert, quilting, embroidery, and being a member of the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy N. Hildebrant (Steve) of Gadsden, AL; sons, Robert L. Norred of Kellyton, AL and Michael A. Norred (Net) of Gulf Breeze, FL; grandson, Benjamin L. Norred; sister, Jackie Bishop (George); and brother, Jerry Waites (Barbara).
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Herbert Lewis Norred; parents; sister, Sara Jo Sexton; and brother, W.A. Waites.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity or organization.
