Betty Henderson's Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Betty Henderson, 79, of Kellyton, Alabama, will be Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Roger Green will officiate. Burial will follow in the Kellyton Memory Garden. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Henderson passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at her residence. She was born on November 13, 1943 in Murry Cross, Alabama to Joe Doegg and Lucy Prater Doegg. She was a member of Family Worship Center. She loved to cook, work in her garden, and go fishing. Betty enjoyed going dirt track racing when she was younger. She was a kind person who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
She is survived by her grandchild that she raised, Billy D. Henderson (Tena) of Kellyton; daughter, Vicki Nelson; grandchild, Lindsay Nelson of Birmingham; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Henderson Peters (Landon) of Alexander City, Ethan Henderson of Kellyton, and Carli Martin of Alexander City; sister-in-law, Patsy Cole (James) of Notasulga,; brother-in-law, George Henderson of Alexander City; special nieces, Pattie McLain (Jimbo) of Weogufka and Kay Harris (Frank) of Newnan, GA; special friend, Mary Tarrant of Panama City, FL, and many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Ray Henderson; grandchild, Emily Nelson; great-grandchild, Camden Nelson and 11 brothers and sisters.
