I was in the National Guard with Benny for several year he worked at the FMS shop in Talladega that provided service to my units. Benny as we called him was an awesome brother and soldier. He always gave great advise and guidance to me and the other younger Soldiers. We deployed to Iraq together in 2003 and he made our time fun and enjoyable. We always had a good time. RIP Benny!

My wife told me that she remembers times she ran into Uncle Benny at Walmart had she spoke to say Hi Mr Pate and he would respond and say hey Mrs Pate and how’s Austin and everyone .. He will be missed love you Uncle Benny
