Funeral Service for Mrs. Barbara Moseley Thomas, 76, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Barbara Moseley Thomas, a loving and passionate woman known for her kindness, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2023, in her hometown of Alexander City, Alabama. Born on April 29, 1947, in the old Russell Hospital, Barbara's life was marked by a deep love for her family, her community, and the natural world.
Barbara's work history was deeply rooted in her local community. For many years, she was a dedicated folder at the Russell Corporation at old Number 9. Her commitment to her work was only surpassed by her commitment to her family and friends. She was a woman who never forgot a birthday or anniversary, always making sure to celebrate those she loved with heartfelt gestures and warm wishes.
An avid Alabama fan, Barbara's passion for her home state was evident in everything she did. She loved the outdoors and nature, often spending her free time exploring the beautiful landscapes of Alabama. Her love for the natural world was matched only by her love for red roses, a symbol of her passion and dedication. Barbara also had a soft spot for old musical movies.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 49 years, Rodger Thomas; her son, Brian Pritchard (Tonya); and her brothers, Hugh Moseley (Angie) and Alan Moseley (Louann). She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, who will remember her as a loving and caring aunt. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Judson Moseley; her mother, Daisy Agnes Love Moseley; and her son, Rodger Dale Thomas, Jr.
Barbara's life was a testament to her loving nature and her passion for those she cared about. Her kindness was a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew her, and her memory will continue to inspire and guide those she left behind. Barbara's life was a beautiful journey that touched many hearts, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
