Mrs. Simpson passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 in Jacksonville, FL . She was born on August 30, 1933 in Alexander City to Elmer Arlington Bolan and Sara Gaston Bolan. She graduated from BRHS. She loved living and growing up on Dean Road with her 3 siblings: Dean, Glenn, and Janey. She married the love of her life Ralph and they lived next to her parents Buddy and Penny on Dean Road. She was a great cook and always had cakes, cookies, and wonderful fudge and divinity. She always had her coffee on so everybody could sit down for "just a nibble".
She is survived by her son, David Simpson (Patricia) of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren Cameron (Lacey), Sarah Simpson and even lived to see a great grand baby Miranda who loved to visit Baba at assisted living. Her many nieces and nephews will have a large hole in their hearts.
Mrs. Tina Bolan has been a wonderful support system for David while learning the rough path of caring for a parent in assisted living. The wonderful caregivers at Brookdale assisted living have cared for Baba for 14 years. Community Hospice has been a great support for end of life care. Many thanks to all of those great people. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Ralph C. Simpson. She survived all three of her siblings.
Radney Funeral Home is honored to serve the Simpson family.
