Ms. Barbara Heidimarie Chadwick's Obituary
Barbara Heidimarie Chadwick, a long-time resident of Jackson's Gap, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2023, at the age 80. Born on February 20, 1943, in Erfurt, East Germany, Barbara was known for her friendly and loving nature, often punctuated with a sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew her.
Barbara spent her early years in East Germany, where she was born to Franz Eggidius Diebelius and Erica Marianne Diebelius. Later, she moved to the United States and made a fulfilling life, contributing significantly to her community and her workplace. Barbara devoted 32 years of her life to Russell Corporation, where she was deeply respected and appreciated.
Known as Barbara Chadwick to her friends and colleagues, she was a woman of many interests. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as spending time with her family, tending to her pets, Bonnie, and Lizzy, and finding hidden treasures in thrift stores. Her love for flowers was evident in her beautiful home garden, which was a reflection of her nurturing and caring nature.
Barbara is survived by her loving family. Her daughters, Susie Usrey (Richard), Sonya Whitaker, Michelle Britton (Tim); son, Shane Kidwell (Jana); grandchildren, Amy Bowden (Jon), Keri Dunham (Nate), Ryan Clayton (Olivia), Josh Usrey (Linda), Lindsey Bolan, Forrest Whitaker (Kayla), Heather Newman (Ben), Josh Kidwell (Courtney), Luke Kidwell, MaKayla Bender, Korey Hall (Haylee), Dakota Whitaker; eighteen great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; sister, Hannelore Wollenberg (Birger) and nephew, Benjamin Wollenberg (Sandra). She was preceded in death by her father, Franz Eggidius Diebelius; mother, Erica Marianne Diebelius and husband, Patrick Evans Chadwick.
To quote Mark Twain, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started." Barbara was a living embodiment of this quote. She was always ready to lend a helping hand, to start something new, and to move forward with a positive spirit. Her life was a testament to her resilience, determination, and unwavering love for her family.
Barbara Chadwick's legacy will live on in the hearts of those she has left behind. Her radiant smile, her laughter, and the fond memories she created will continue to bring warmth and comfort. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her kind heart, her generosity, and her unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
