Annie Vivian Milner Price, affectionately known as Vivian to all who knew her, departed this life on April 20, 2024, in Dandridge, Tennessee. Born on January 20, 1942, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, her 82 years of life were marked by selflessness, love, and unwavering faith.
Vivian was a graduate of Dadeville High School, where she laid the foundation for a future characterized by hard work and dedication. Her career spanned many years at Russell Corporation, from which she retired. There, she formed lasting friendships that brought her joy and companionship throughout her life.
A life-long, faithful member of the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ, Vivian's devotion to her faith was evident in all aspects of her life, especially in the way she raised her sons, ensuring they grew in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Her commitment to her church community was a central part of her life, and her presence will be dearly missed by all who worshipped alongside her.
Family was the cornerstone of Vivian's world. She is survived by her loving son, Terry Price, and his wife, Gina, of Dandridge, TN. Vivian was a beacon of strength and love, caring for her family with an unwavering commitment, particularly for her son Steven Dewayne Price, who preceded her in death. Her reunion with Steven in heaven will be a comfort to those she leaves behind, as will the memories of her steadfast care. Vivian was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Horace Price, as well as her parents, Grover A. Milner and Jimmie Sue Milner.
Vivian's interests and hobbies painted a picture of a woman who cherished the simple joys of life. She was renowned for her culinary skills, always eager to try out the latest recipe on her family, delighting in their enjoyment. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her home, as she was a familiar face at the local WalMart, where she loved to socialize and catch up with friends. In her quiet moments, she could often be found engrossed in the twists and turns of her favorite television shows, NCIS and Law & Order, where she playfully attempted to solve the latest case before the detectives could.
The family wishes to express their profound gratitude to the wonderful team at Gentiva Hospice and the caregivers at Holly's Helping Hands. Their dedication and care ensured that Vivian's final days were filled with peace and comfort, a gift that her family will forever cherish.
Vivian Price's legacy is one of enduring love and service. Her life was a testament to the virtues of selflessness and faith, virtues that she embodied every day. As she enters her eternal rest, those who knew her will forever be inspired by the memories of her loving spirit, her unwavering support, and the countless lives she touched.
Vivian's journey on earth has concluded, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she loved. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we do so with the assurance that her influence will continue to guide and comfort us in the days ahead.
