Mrs. Annie F. Forbus' Obituary
Graveside Service for Mrs. Annie F. Forbus, 95, of Alexander City, Alabama will be Monday, November 22, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Alexander City Cemetery. Her grandson Rev. Justin Law will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Forbus passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021. She was born on May 4, 1926 in Elmore County, Alabama to William Oliver Fomby and Lucy Jane Brown Fomby. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Forbus retired from Russell Corp after over 30 years of service. She was a member of Ray Baptist Church. Mrs. Forbus enjoyed vegetable gardening, canning, flowers, cooking for her family, Alabama football, taking car rides, and getting outside. She was known for her delicious pound cakes, chicken and dressing, and chocolate gravy.
She is survived by her daughter, June Johnson (Lanny); son, Rayford Earl Berry; grandchildren, Justin Law (Anslee), Jeremy Law (Savannah), Theresa Welsh (Edward), Krystal Shirley, Phillip Berry (Kathy), Sarah Morrison (Kyle), and Stel Gibson; eleven great-grandchildren; and twelve great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie M. Forbus; daughter, Mary Ann Forbus Law; grandson, Darin Berry; parents; sisters, Flora Mae Berry, Nadine Martin, Lucy Irene Lamb, Christine F. Gilliland, and Lois Voncille Hardy; and brothers, Ira Fomby, Preston Fomby, Edmond Fomby, and Billy Fomby.
