Ms. Anita Jones' Obituary
Funeral Service for Ms. Anita Jones, 77, of Millbrook, Alabama, will be Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Radney Funeral Home. Rev. John Hill will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Radney Funeral Home.
Ms. Jones passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 at her residence. She was born on June 15, 1945 in Alexander City, Alabama to Otis Lister Powell and Willie Gaye Belyeu Powell. She loved reading, sewing, playing her games on her phone, and cooking for her family and community. She volunteered for the Goodwater Senior Center for many years. She had a servant's heart and was deeply loved by everyone.
She is survived by her children, John Wesley Whitley (Linda) of Auburn, Thomas Neil Whitley of Millbrook, Rebecca Whitley Stephens (Jamie) of Chelsea, Buford Jones (Susan) of Dallas, GA, Donald Jones of Nashville, TN, and Shannon Sawyer (Chris) of Auburn; grandchildren, Mallory Jones, Troy Jones, Mitchell Tate, Houston Jones, Macie Jones, Sadie Lynne Sawyer, Steven Jones, Madelyn Stephens, Adelaide Sawyer, Ruby Beth Sawyer, and Lauren Stephens; sister, Annette Duffy (Gerry) and brother, Jerrold Powell (Barbara) both of Alexander City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Alton Dale Whitley; second husband, Gerald Jones; and brother, Wayne Powell.
