Mrs. Anita Wilson Crumpton, affectionately known as Anita to her loved ones and friends, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on February 24, 1936, Anita's life was marked by her loving spirit, her kind heart, and her unforgettable sense of humor. She was a beacon of joy and laughter to all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and cherished memories.
Anita was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her adoring daughter, Elizabeth "Dee" Dukes of Tallassee, AL; her caring sister, Barbara Jo Walker of Alexander City, AL; her grandson, Chris Dukes; her great-granddaughter, Juliette Dukes; and her grandson, Matt Moody. These family members, along with countless friends and relatives, will forever hold Anita's memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Thomas Wilson; her mother, Mary Wilson; her daughter, Anna Crumpton; and her grandson, William Graham.
Throughout her life, Anita was known for her boundless energy and her ability to make everyone around her feel loved and important. Her laughter was infectious, and her capacity to find humor in everyday situations was a gift she shared generously. Her kindness extended beyond her immediate circle, touching the lives of many in her community through her volunteer work and her constant readiness to lend a helping hand.
