Dr. Albert T. Foy Jr.'s Obituary
Dr. Albert T. Foy, Jr., 77, of Eclectic, Alabama passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Jackson Hospital. He was born on May 12, 1944 in Alexander City, Alabama to Albert Trussell Foy, Sr. and Wonnie Thornell Foy. Dr. Foy graduated from Benjamin Russell High School in 1962, received a B.S. from the University of Alabama in 1966, where he played football for Coach Bear Bryant, a D.M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1969, and Certificate in Orthodontics in 1973. Dr. Foy was a United States Air Force Veteran. He served as Secretary, Second District Dental Society; Secretary, Vice President, President, Alabama Association of Orthodontists; Director Southern Association of Orthodontists; Director, Alabama Dental PAC; Chairman, Legislative Council of Alabama Dental Association; Delegate, House of Delegates of the American Association of Orthodontists; Chairman, Southern Association of Orthodontists delegation to the American Association of Orthodontists; Director, Montgomery Country Club; Director, Secretary, Chairman, Montgomery Airport Authority; and Director, Chairman, Willow Point Golf and Country Club. Dr. Foy was the 2009 recipient of the Oren Oliver Distinguished Service Award from the Southern Association of Orthodontists.
He is survived by his wife, Linda M Foy; daughter, Leanne Colvin (Scotty) of Orange Beach, Alabama; son, Benjamin S. Foy (Emily) of Inlet Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Foy Hammock (Wilks), Roe Allen Collins, Jr., Stone Collins (Jordan), McEachern Foy, Evan Renfroe (Jack), Pierce Foy, and Trussell Foy; great-grandson, Steele Hammock; and brothers, Henry Foy (Mary Anne), Hunter Foy (Jo Ellen).
He was preceded in death by his parents.
