Funeral Service for Bro. William Bryan “Bill” Middlebrooks Jr., 87, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Monday, December 20, 2021 at 11:00 am at Hillabee Baptist Church. Rev. Chase Clower will officiate. Burial will follow in the Read Obituary
I’m Billy Bryan’s 2nd cousin and we grew up together in Selma. In Selma many are referred to by their first and also middle names. He was a year older than me. I just today (20th) received a letter written on the 16th and called to talk to him. Anna answered and said he left for Heaven on the 16th. I’ll treasure this last letter. Praise the Lord I got this personal letter with the Christmas Card and called today. Billy was an example of the Christian life for all the family during our years in Selma. His aunt, my grandmother, had 8 children so we wound up with a very large family. I am blessed to have had Billy Bryan as a cousin. May our Lord comfort Anna and her daughters now with their loss. Bil was such a good friend. My heart is saddened by his passing. He was a prayer partner for many years. Well done good and faithful servant.
Bro. Middlebrooks was such a dear person. He was such a comfort and a blessing to me when my son passed away several years ago. I will never forget his kindness, caring, and comforting words. Thank you Bro. Middlebrooks! I'll see you in heaven again one day!
