Funeral Service for Mrs. Sherry Ellison Simpson, 60, of Alexander City, Alabama, will be Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church. Dr. Steve King will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial P Read Obituary
Sherry was one of my best friends in high school. We stayed with each other all the time and made so many memories during school. It has been a little while since I had talked with her. You just never think bad things like this could happen. I loved her with all my heart and I know she loved me. I know she is a beautiful angel now and I will see her again.
I will miss not being able to talk to her on this earth but like I said, I will see my sweet friend again!

I never worked with a more precious and genuinely loving and kind soul!!! I was in the band with her many years ago but didn't really know her personally. God has richly blessed me with incredible blessings in knowing and working with her. She loved me with her whole heart...but that's just who she was 🧡🌷💛✝️💚💙. I'll never forget her and all the sweet, fun, and meaningful memories we made together. I'm praying for her lovely family and asking Jesus to wrap you in a blanket woven with His love, peace, hope, and comfort!! I love you love you

Sherry was a classmate of mine in the Benjamin Russell High School Class of 1981. Throughout school, Sherry was the sweetest and kindest person. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside, a rare thing. I will be praying for her family, especially for Scott, their girls, and Miss Gloria. May God help you through this time, wrapping His arms around you.
I taught with Sherry at East Highland Middle School in Sylacauga, AL. I loved working with her. She was beautiful inside and out. I am praying for her family.
Dr. Sherry Ellison was not just a great teacher for my grandson she was also a good friend to me. My heart is heavy but I know the Lord needed his sweet angel back. I am going to miss you my friend.
