Mr. William "Dale" Barnett's Obituary
Funeral Service for William “Dale” Barnett, 64, of Millerville, Alabama, will be Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Rock Springs Baptist Church. Pastor Scott Jordan will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rock Springs Cemetery in Clay County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Barnett passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Clay County Hospital. He was born on March 14, 1952 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Huron “Willard” Barnett and Myrtle Patterson Barnett. He was an active member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. He served his country in the Alabama National Guard from 1971-1977. Dale retired from West Point Pepperell-Stevens after 25 years of service. He enjoyed listening to old country and bluegrass music, watching old westerns and making people laugh with his jokes and stories.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Barnett of Ashland; daughters, Christy B. Gardner (Spencer) of Bethune, SC, Lorie Banister (Rodney) of Baileyton, AL; granddaughters, Kylee Banister, Megan Marshall (B.J.), Brooklyn Banister; great-granddaughter, Maci Marshall; sisters, Beverly Fain (Paul), Kathy Jackson (Bruce); brother, Jimmy Barnett (Tammy); aunts, Barbara "Bobbie" Barnett, Wilma Barnett Young and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Timothy Barnett.
